SunGlow Agrichem is committed to delivering your fertilizer products safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international regulations. This policy outlines our shipping procedures, responsibilities, and terms.

COVID-19 Update: Global logistics may experience delays. We recommend placing orders with additional lead time and confirming current transit estimates with your account manager.

1. Shipping Methods

We offer flexible logistics solutions tailored to your cargo volume, budget, and urgency:

🚢 Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) RECOMMENDED

Best for: Bulk orders (20MT+), cost-sensitive shipments

  • FCL (Full Container Load): 20ft or 40ft containers for orders above 15MT
  • LCL (Less than Container Load): Shared container for smaller orders
  • Transit Time: 30-45 days to Europe/Americas, 7-14 days within Asia
  • Packaging: 25kg/50kg bags, 1000kg bulk bags, or custom packaging

✈️ Air Freight EXPRESS

Best for: Urgent orders, samples, or high-value small batches

  • Delivery within 3-7 days to major international airports
  • Ideal for samples (up to 500kg) or emergency replenishment
  • Higher cost but fastest delivery
  • Subject to airline dangerous goods regulations

🚛 Land Transport

Best for: Regional deliveries within Southeast Asia and China

  • Cross-border trucking for neighboring countries
  • Rail freight available for Central Asia (China-Europe line)
  • Cost-effective for regional distribution

2. Trade Terms (Incoterms 2020)

Our standard quotations are based on the following Incoterms unless otherwise specified in your contract:

Important: For DDP terms, we require complete import documentation requirements and preferential tax treatment details in advance to ensure smooth customs clearance.

4. Shipping Costs

4.1 Cost Calculation

Freight costs are determined by:

  • Weight & Volume: Charged by actual weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater)
  • Destination: Distance and port accessibility
  • Market Rates: Real-time shipping market conditions
  • Fuel Surcharges: BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor) applicable for sea freight
  • Peak Season: Higher rates during pre-planting seasons

4.2 Quote Validity

Due to market volatility, freight quotes are valid for 3 business days only. For price protection on large orders, consider booking freight in advance or opting for CIF/DDP terms.

4.3 Excluded Fees

Unless explicitly stated, our shipping quotes do not include:

  • Demurrage or detention charges at destination port
  • Storage fees due to delayed customs clearance
  • Inspection fees by customs or agricultural authorities
  • Inland transportation from port to final warehouse
  • Import duties, taxes, or VAT

5. Packaging & Hazardous Goods

UN Certified Packaging: All fertilizer products are classified as hazardous goods (UN classification) and packaged in compliance with IMDG Code for sea transport and IATA DGR for air transport.

5.1 Standard Packaging

5.2 Labeling Requirements

All packages include:

  • Product name and N-P-K grade
  • Net weight and batch number
  • UN number and hazard class
  • Handling instructions (keep dry, avoid moisture)
  • Country of origin (Singapore)

6. Customs, Duties & Taxes

Buyer Responsibility: All import duties, VAT, customs processing fees, and other taxes imposed by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. These charges are not included in our product or shipping prices.

6.1 Import Documentation

SunGlow provides the following standard export documents:

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB)
  • Certificate of Origin
  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
  • Quality Inspection Certificate (SGS or equivalent, if requested)

6.2 Import Permits

The Buyer is responsible for:

  • Obtaining necessary import licenses for fertilizer products
  • Ensuring product registration with local agricultural authorities
  • Providing accurate commodity codes (HS codes) for customs declaration
  • Arranging fumigation or additional inspections if required by destination country

7. Tracking & Support

7.1 Shipment Tracking

Upon departure, you will receive:

  • Bill of Lading (B/L) number or Air Waybill (AWB) number
  • Carrier booking reference
  • Estimated departure and arrival dates
  • Container number (for FCL shipments)

Track your shipment via the carrier’s online portal or contact your dedicated account manager for updates.

7.2 Delivery Confirmation

Upon arrival at destination port:

  • Notify your customs broker immediately to avoid demurrage
  • Inspect container seal integrity before acceptance
  • Report any visible damage or seal tampering within 24 hours
  • Sign clean B/L or note exceptions if damage is found

8. Delays, Loss & Force Majeure

8.1 Force Majeure Events

SunGlow shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (typhoons, earthquakes, floods)
  • Extreme weather affecting port operations
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions
  • Port strikes, labor disputes, or congestion
  • Pandemics or epidemics (COVID-19, etc.)
  • Unexpected customs inspections or quarantine measures
  • Shortage of shipping containers or vessel space

8.2 Communication During Delays

In the event of significant delays (>7 days), we will notify you within 48 hours of discovery and provide regular updates every 3-5 days until resolution. We will work with you to explore alternative solutions where feasible.

8.3 Loss or Damage Claims

9. Insurance

9.1 Marine Cargo Insurance

  • CIF Terms: We arrange basic coverage (Institute Cargo Clauses C) included in price
  • FOB Terms: Buyer arranges insurance from port of loading
  • Enhanced Coverage: Institute Cargo Clauses A (all risks) available upon request at additional cost

9.2 Insurance Claims

In case of loss or damage:

  1. Notify SunGlow and the insurance company immediately
  2. Preserve damaged goods for surveyor inspection
  3. Submit claim with B/L, commercial invoice, packing list, and survey report
  4. Cooperate with insurance adjuster investigation
